Adam Kriska
Research Misconduct & Integrity Specialist
Former U.S. research integrity officer in research misconduct and I run Higher Edge Academia Consulting. Additional experience: IRB and IACUC, academic advising/integrity, and conflicts of interest.
Before returning to academia, I worked at Grifols, overseeing the Quality Assurance Program at a Plasma Donation Center as the Center Quality Manager. I developed, managed, and maintained training programs for staff to remain in compliance with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
I came back to academia and took on the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Officer role at Ball State University in the Office of Research Integrity. In that role I oversaw the RCR educational training program on campus, meeting all federal guidelines for supported research. I also handled all cases of research misconduct for Ball State University, serving as the Deputy Research Integrity Officer (RIO) within the University. I also prepared and drafted our report to the provost and appropriate federal agencies upon case completions.
In my last role at Northwestern University, I worked in the Office for Research Integrity as a Senior Compliance Specialist. This was a more focused role than the RCR role at Ball State University and was exclusively meant to handle cases of research misconduct. In this field, I was our team lead in reviewing images in Photoshop to assess for potential fabrication and falsifications.
In my free time I am still on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for Ball State University as a volunteer member, attending our monthly meetings and reviewing all the protocols. I have a high standard of excellence and an intense dedication to integrity. This combination has led me far in my current field of compliance and quality. One of my goals is to incorporate everything I gained from my past work into a synergistic experience for myself, and any needs or concerns you need to deal with.
